Masculine Cards Using Truly Tailored Bundle | Retiring Soon
Welcome back! This post features the “Truly Tailored” stamp suite, which can be found in the Occasions catalogue (retiring May 31). The suite comes with the stamp set (my fav…. You’re A Fox!), the Tailored Tag punch, Gentleman designer paper, matching cardstock and some great embellishments.
There are few sets that are geared towards a masculine audience but this one definitely does the trick. What a great set to use for upcoming Father’s Day! But, don’t limit yourself….it can be used for many other occasions too.
Here is what I made with this set. The inspiration initially started with the West Coast Creators team meeting (we made 3 of these). But then I went just a bit crazy and finished this set in just one night. I was on a roll and couldn’t stop! I just LOVE this set and I’m sad to see it retiring soon (except for the punch, which is carrying over).
This card was made using the “Hoping Your Birthday Is As Grand As You” sentiment, but “GRAND” was also stamped separately on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out. I then taped it over the initial sentiment stamp, to make it stand out. This was a very simple card using just a few layers and embellishments. The bow ties are just too cute!
A very simple layered card, using Very Vanilla base, Early Espresso backing and Crumb Card sentiment frame. Super easy but classy! Reminds me of the “good old days”, when gentlemen wore bow ties!
I made this card using the stamp “You’re A Fox”, but I couldn’t help but add in the Foxy Friends fox punch and footprints, from another Stampin’ Up set. Super cute, I think!
I tried to have a bit of fun with this one, using the Aqua painters + stamp pads to create the background on Very Vanilla card stock. A mix of the abstract with a tailored set. What do you think of this look?
This is about the limit of my creativity… This is my attempt at making a shirt and tie. I think it turned out ok? Pretty neat, all the things you can do with a bit of paper and some creative folds!
Bowtie and Glasses!
This one is the card I will give to my Dad (shhhh, hope he doesn’t read this so soon). I combined this set with the Celebrate You thinlets “amazing”. It was a Sale-A-Bration item but is going to carry over into the new catalogue. Added with a few creative layers of DSP, stitched circles and Cable Knit embossed Crumb Cake.
This one reminds me of an old barber shop because of the mustache. This one was very simple to make. Just a few angled layers of rectangular card stock and DSP. Oh, the burlap ribbon….love it!
Another simple card, made with banners. The 3 vertical banners were cut out using the designer paper. The horizontal banner was embossed using the Cable Knit embossing folder on Crumb Cake.
Sentiment Framed Tip: The sentiment was stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out using the Tailored punch and set aside. I took a Night of Navy card stock and punched it again, using the Tailored Punch. Cut the piece in half horizontally, so now you have 2 pieces of card stock. Adhere to the tops and bottoms, behind the sentiment to get the “framed look”.
